- Studied art history and media at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz and specialised on Buddhist painting in Tibet and Mongolia
- 2003: thesis in art history about thangka painting in Mongolia in which she examines some scroll paintings of the collection Leder
- 2003-2008: PhD student in art history at the University of Vienna, several research trips and stays to the USA, Russia and Europe
- October 2006: attends the Third International Conference on Tibetan Art and Archaeology (ICTAA III) in Beijing/China; presentation about The Development of Karmapa-Representations in Tibet and the West – 13th to 21st century
- February 2007: curatorship of the exhibiton of Tibetan thangkas „Buddhas in Karlsruhe. Ausstellung tibetischer Rollbilder“ in Karlsruhe/Germany, author of the exhibiton catalogue
- 2008: Ph.D. in art history on the development of the Karmapa-representation from the 13th to the 21st century
