Oleksandra (Sasha) Lyapina

Oleksandra (Sasha) Lyapina has studied Buddhism at Fo Guang University, Taiwan (2013-2019).
Sasha'a main focus of research is the Chinese translations of Avataṃsaka Sūtra and the Huayan School of Buddhism. In her Master thesis she studied occurrences of long numerical sequences in Buddhist text of various traditions and their contextual implications. The topic was inspired by the Asaṅkhyeya Chapter of Avataṃsaka Sūtra.
While in Taiwan, Sasha attended courses in various traditional Buddhist institutions. Up to this day, she continues her studies and research by means of distant learning.
